Highwood Bocce Club Team Places First at the USBF 2012 National Championships!

A team representing the Highwood Bocce Club brought home gold medals from this year's United States Bocce Federation National Championship. Team members Paul Giannetti, Tony Biondi, Jack Grandi and Marzio Piagentini placed first in both the national and regional USBF Open divisions, losing only two games over the course of the entire tournament.

This year's championship, hosted by the Alpine Country Club in nearby Round Lake, Illinois, took place last month and welcomed participants from across the country and around the world. Despite the fact that the tournament was held in an all-metal building in exceedingly hot conditions, our team was VICTORIOUS!
